Wild Swimming / Cold Water Immersion.
Cold water immersion is one of the most transferable things a team can do together. The moment you step into cold water, your body triggers an acute stress response — heart rate spikes, breathing shortens, and instinct says get out. Learning to override that instinct is exactly the same skill you need in a boardroom, a difficult conversation, or when the plan falls apart at speed.
This session is led by experienced specialists with a military background. Before anyone goes near the water, the group learns box breathing — the same technique used in special operations to regulate the nervous system under extreme stress. Four counts in, four counts hold, four counts out, four counts hold. Simple, effective, and directly transferable to any high-pressure situation.
The session then moves to a guided cold water entry — controlled, supported, and done together. Nobody is pushed. Everyone goes at their own pace. The shared experience of doing something genuinely difficult together creates a bond that lasts well beyond the day.
